Accepted on a real A4000 (Z3660, A4092, ZuluSCSI) on 2026-10-11: card and CD installs to the SD card, an A4092 disk and a moved disk, all booting on their own. On 2026-10-12 both 68060 CDs on the same A4000: the standard set onto a 200 MB disk from the SD-card disc, everything onto a 512 MB A4092 disk from the A4092-root disc; both first boots and the apkg checks clean. The A4000T and the A3000 are supported: same boot path and media. The classic kit is tested in emulation only.

Not supported: the stock A4000's 68EC030 (no MMU), any 68000/68020 Amiga, the Z3660's 68030 and emulated-68040 modes.

Every route: bring your own Kickstart ROM image; we ship none. Details per machine: Hardware.

The CD and disk sizes

Each CD route has one disc: the whole 2.1 distribution, 30 packages, about 300 MB. Its set menu: 1 Standard Amiga UNIX installation (17 packages, with the X11 kit: Xcore, Xbasic, olcore), 2 Everything on the disc (30), 3 Custom selection.

A 100 MB disk is too small: the standard set stops with file system full and leaves the disk unbootable. Use a 200 MB disk or larger, or set 2 on 512 to 1000 MB.

2, Everything30276.1 MB303.7 MB512 to 1000 MB (largest tested root: a 1000 MB disk, 959 MiB root), ufs root (s5 cannot hold it)

Needs is the installed size the installer checks; the install itself needs more while it runs (each package is spooled onto the root first).

Installed systems carry a 10 MB boot slice, so later kernels fit.

More packages later: apkg update && apkg install emacs …. Every stock 2.1 package is also a plain .pkg under http://pkg.amigaux.org/stock/.
